Talk of the town in the architecture world of late has been the redevelopment // rezoning of the desolate train // transportation graveyard that is, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s Hudson Yards.
I was lucky enough to experience a tour of the incredibly generous, (in proportion and materiality), amenity spaces in the building.
Pool
Cuddling up to Heatherwicks endless stairs, on the West side waterfront lends for soaring views over Manhattan and New Jersey. Snuggling both the highline and The Shed.
The highline being one of the projects the kicked DSR’s fame into the starkitecture levels, 15 Hudson yards is definitely in good company.
The residents not only have great quality of life choosing to reside in a LEED certified building, they also get state of the art, overly decadent amenities to use. Ranging from the pool, gym, yoga studio, wine cellar, private chefs kitchen, party space, theatre room, rooftop – shall I go on. Deep walnut hues and sandblasted limestone float along the corridors as one explores. Enjoy a little sneak peek below…
