welcome to my abode cont...

Leeds Castle continued …

The Lady Baillie’s bedroom, let’s just say, my new abode. Decadently decorated with lush green velvet sofas & arm chairs, paired with vibrant bright orange drapes // and valances finished in a delightful contrasting trim. Vintage hand painted matching dressers, nero marble fireplace, William Norris textiles throughout, specifically the drapes dressing the space down to the exposed painted white beams on the ceiling. French inspired furnishings from small and large scale from yards and yard of fabric to the solid brass candelabras on the fireplace.

The Lady Baillie Bathroom

From the bookmatched white onyx clad bathroom, the the blackened steel arched door frames, Lady Baillie’s painted blue and white millwork room doesn’t fall short of any room throughout the castle. The decorative swan sconces flanking the room to the cream canopy bed in the, what seems like 13’-0” ceilings, make me want to stay there.

The castle library - possibly my favorite room in the castle. Blame it on my affection for books, the love of the Disney movie beauty and the beast, or the desire to take a note out of Ron Burgundy’s book for a grandiose library. This room did not disappoint. The luxurious William Morris textiles continuing throughout.

The Chapel

I fell in love with the generous detail in millwork // stone work throughout. Ornamentation is, in my mind, frozen time as it really makes you appreciate how much time someone has put into create something so delicate yet strong.
